You can rent kayaks, canoes, 12 and 14 foot aluminum boats, and pedal boats as well. Their rental rates start at $20 per two hours plus tax, and go up to $35 plus tax for two hours on an aluminum fishing boat with an electric trolling motor. This is a perfect sized lake to learn kayaking, and is also just big enough to show kids a great time boating and fishing without being too big and scary.
Only electric motors are allowed on the lake so there is little danger from large fast boats making waves and this means no jet skis either. You can use the boat launch to put your own boat in the water as well. There is ample parking day or night and some people have been known to shout howdy neighbor as you come into the parking lot!
