How many nets do commercial fishing boats fish with?

On some pictures commercial fishing vessels have nets on big winches on the transom and also booms like shrimpers what nets are used for what kind of fishing?

My only concern about fishing (excluding the risks) is my vision. What do people do when they’re on a boat and have impaired vision (like not perfect vision)? Glasses would fall off easy with all the water, and contacts surely wouldn’t be easy to put on everyday with the boat swaying all the time (wouldn’t you poke your eye out?), would it?

If possible, I’d like to hear some personal experience from people who’ve done it, on how they deal with this.
