What is the best rod to use for bass and drop shot fishing?

I bought this reel last fall for $100 (the 2500 model) and I have to say, it was money well-spent. The reel is really smooth on retrieves and feels like it should cost more than it does. I paired it up with a Shimano Crucial 6′8″ Drop shot rod and use it for drop shotting, and some times for senkos and jigs too. I gotta say, they work great together. The only con I have is that this reel doesn’t come with an extra spool. Which I would find helpful when switching from fishing drop shots to senkos/jigs and vice versa.
