My little 3 yr old granddaughter loves to fish with her daddy. She is left-handed and all of the children's fishing poles are for right-handed children. It's simply pitiful to watch her try to fish "upside down" and try to manipulate the right-handed
just buy her a small pole and a small spinning reel. most spinning reels the handel can be moved to either side of the reel to acommadate either a right or left hander
Free fishing clinic for kids set for June 12 in Estacada By Vickie Kavanagh, The Oregonian June 03, 2010, 1:05PM ESTACADA – Grab your fishing pole and head to Promontory Park on June 12 for the annual Clackamas River Junior Fishing Clinic.
A fishing derby for ages 14 and younger, prizes, crafts and other activities will be featured from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the park at 40500 E. Highway 224
Learning stations will include aquatic insects, fish anatomy and observation, stream ecology and water safety. Lunch and drinks will be provided, but children are encouraged to bring their own fishing rods and coolers for taking home their catch. Limited quantities of rods and bait will be available for use.
