Necessities for 3 month backpack trip?

What would i need for a plan to backpack for approx. 3 months (summer time)?

Here is a list of what i be getting:
Car
Backpack (what kind is recommended? Any specific brands?)
Water canteens, First Aid kit, Rope, Compass,

Food... don't plan on catching a fish everyday...
get some fire-starter sticks, those little jewels are awesome...
Also let someone know where your gonna be and set a check in date so if they don't hear from you then can mount a rescue

I received this kit to replace one that I had while growing up. The order was processed extremely quickly and arrived in a timely manner. The kit itself is full of items that you need to get started fishing without having to spend the hundreds of dollars to buy each piece individually. Be aware that they do cound each hook and sinker as on piece, but you still get everything from lures, jigs, even a few flys. This is a great buy!
