I want to fish for bass, rainbow trout, pickerel,and orther common freshwater fish. I already have an Ugly Stik fishing rod. I want to know what lures, swivels, weights, etc.

You need some pliers, scissors, scale and/or tape measurer, an extra spool of line, all that stuff.
You need some size 6 hooks, size 4 hooks, and maybe even some size 8's. I prefer the bait holder type. Aberdeen works too.

As we approached Terrigal the dark clouds were in the distance "It looks like I've got 1/2 an hour before I get soaked" so I got dropped off near the paddle boats so I can get to the shops when it stars to spit. I started flicking a popper near in the shallows hoping for a Whiting, no luck - the clouds are gettin closer - I walked over to the beach and I hooked my 6lb set up on my back pack and unhook my 12lb and start chucking a Sundowner 50ml vibe into the deep gutter walking a couple of metres after each cast hoping for a Flatty then bang a leaping Aussie Salmon pounces onto it not really expecting to have a decent fight on my hands (targeting Whiting and Flathead) I had to work for it, pretty stoked for my first Salmon on a lure she went around 55cm, in the end I had to run it started pissing down but spending 30mins walking on lovely Terrigal beach flicking lures with a healthy Salmon to show for it is a good day in my book.
