Why have a never seen anyone surf fishing in Southeast Florida?

I fish the inlests sometimes, and the piers, and from boats. I have never seen anyone fishing form the surf. The poblem with the inlets is the bottoms are usaully rocky and I lose a lot of tackle. Do you know why nobody seems to fish the surf? I am going


Surf fishing is actually a bit easier in south-east FLA because the "Ledge" slowly draws closer to shore as you get near Bocca/Miami.
