Canada Fly In Fishing Trip at Nueltin Fly In Lodges
Divided by the Manitoba-Nunavut border, Lake Nueltin is deep in the heart of the Great White North. Two hundred miles separate Nueltin from the nearest road, making it a true fly-in destination.
Lake Nueltin has a couple of qualities that ensure numerous, big, mean fish. That is a combination that most fishermen will fall for, hook, line and sinker.
Canada Fly-in Fishing at Lake Nueltin
Guests at Lake Nueltin arrive by plane, and almost all fly in from Winnipeg. After the 740 mile flight, the over 100-mile-long Lake Nueltin appears, and a fisherman turns his thoughts to the denizens of the water:
Northern Pike – policy. This insures that the monsters that are pulled out of the lake this year will not only be released to fight again, but their superior genetics can be passed on to other generations. Another policy that helps Nueltin's fish friendly reputation is the usage of lures with a single, barbless hook. These hooks do less damage to the fish, which allows them to recover more quickly. Again, Lake Nueltin was the first lake in Canada to make these hooks mandatory.
